Are the in person events point to point?
No. We redesigned the courses to form one-way loops starting and finishing from Islet Lake Staging Area for 55 km skiers and at the Waskahegan Staging Area for 31 km skiers, on February 12, 13, and 14.
There will be separate morning and afternoon starts from Waskahegan Staging Area for the 13 km event on Monday, February 15th.
Are there starting waves?
Yes, you will need to select an appropriate wave in which to start. Read this wave document to choose your appropriate wave start.
Are there timing chips?
Yes, the 55, 31 and 13 km events use GoChip technology. GoChips record your start time from when you cross the start line, not from a mass start or wave start time.
It is worn on the ankle and MUST be returned at the finish line. There is a $60 charge to replace lost chips.
Will there be food stations along the course or, because of COVID, will skiers need to carry all of their hydration and food instead?
There is a total of five aid stations spaced along the 31 and 55 km courses and one aid station on the 13 km course. Volunteer and medical personnel will be on site. Water will be provided in 300 ml bottles. Nutrition shall be in the form of pre-packaged individual servings, such as fig bars or Oreos.
Can I change the event I’m skiing?
No. Due to strict limits on participation and capped waves, we are not able to make any changes to your ski event or wave choice this year.
Can I withdraw from the event?
