Ranking

We can post your 2023 Canadian Birkie Ski Festival  31/55 km results on the Worldloppet website for you! When you register for the Canadian Birkie, check off the Worldloppet Ski Marathon Calendar box. Then check the Worldloppet Global Ranking for your name a few days after you cross the in-person Birkie finish line. You will be ranked against long distance skiers from around the globe.

Medals

Please note there are no age-category awards in the 13 km Global Edmonton Mini Birkie for skiers over 18. The top 3 Overall finishers will receive a medal. Top three finishers in each of  the 13 km young age groups (17-18, 15-16, 13-14 and under 12) will receive placement awards via mail or can collect them in-person at the location and times noted above.

In addition, skiers in the untimed 8 km Birkie Fun Ski and the 2/4 km Ole’s Tour events are invited to take a Birkie birchwood participation medallion on a help-yourself basis in the finish area of the 2, 4 and 8 km short events. These medallions will not be mailed.

Age Group Categories

55 km with Pack Torskeklubben Birkebeiner, 31 km Imperial Oil Birkie Tour, and 55 km Birkie Lite: 

1st, 2nd and 3rd place metal medals for:
• 19 and under
• 20-29
• 30-39
• 40-49
• 50-59
• 60-69
• 70-79
• 80+

13 km Global Edmonton Mini Birkie:

1st, 2nd and 3rd place wooden medals for:
• 12 and under
• 13-14
• 15-16
• 17-18

1st, 2nd and 3rd place Overall finishers will receive a medal.

Note: 500 m, 1 km, 2 km, 3 km, 4 km and 8 km Birkie ski events are untimed; they do not require age categories.
